Tarot T1000 and DJI S800 flying

Drone flying from the last weekend. We have lifted a Tarot 1000 and a DJI S800 in the sky. For the DJI S800 we just mounted the GoPro to the frame without a Gimbal so you will experience a little bit of shaking there. Also, if you are interested, we quickly configured the perfect gains for the S800 on the field visible in the first part of the vid. The Tarot T1000 is equipped with a dual operator system (one pilot and one camera man). Enjoy the flying.

Details of the Tarot setup can be found here: http://youtu.be/4rUDns1nXLU

So whats the biggest difference between something like the model shown in this post and quad like the DJI Phantom 2? I got one of the Phantoms a couple weeks ago and I’m super impressed. It works well for what I’ve tried so far, but I’m interested in doing some videography on a local mouton with snowboarders and I’m afraid it’s light weight will cause it to be blown around a lot. Great site by the way.

Hi Jason, the main difference is the weight you can carry. With the Tarot, I am able to carry a full size camera such as a Canon 5D Mark III which is impossible to load on a Phantom. Phantom is stable to up to 7m/s wind so don’t worry. It will carry the task easily on the local mountain.
